Bandipora Village faces power outage before onset of winter

Bandipora 24 Oct(KNB): There seems to be no relief in sight for the residents of Bandipora villages facing electricity outages for the past several days causing inconvenience to the people.

Metered areas are witnessing unscheduled power outage for longer hours particularly Aloosa village and adjoining areas of bandipora district.

Consumers are complaining about frequent power cuts mostly during the peak hours.

Talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB local said, “Despite being as metered consumer then why unscheduled power cuts in our area, it’s difficult to survive without electricity as winter is approaching.”

Locals of Bandipora Village are up in arms against KPDCL for restoring to power cuts, accusing the department, which is responsible for the transmission and distribution of electricity in the area, of failing to provide adequate power.

“Power outage have deteriorated over last few days, we only see few hours of electricity in our area, we spend most hours in darknesss,” said Imtiyaz Ahmad a local resident. (KNB)
