Baramulla Sep 20(KNB): A Programme Vocal for local was organized at Baramulla in which BJP’S General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion Ashok koul said that Kashmir’s pottery, once famed and sought after, is now struggling to find takers as well as makers.
Koul said It’s heartwarming to see BJP workers experiencing diverse cultures, traditions, music, old traditions pottery cuisines and languages through the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in Baramulla
Families that practised this work for generations suddenly find their new generation uninterested. He said that the mindset of free India should be ‘vocal for local’. We should appreciate our local products, he said if we don’t do this then our products will not get opportunity to do better and will not get encouraged.”
He sad that Prime Minister Narendra Modi programmes and initiatives like Startup India, StandUp India, Digital India and Make in India are all led by young people and will take the country to newer heights. He said, all feel proud when the youth of country is innovating and taking the nation forward. The step also adds to the country’s efforts to revive indigenous cultures under PM Modi’s flagship project – ‘Vocal for Local.
He urged all young people to come forward and make vocal for local a success. Whatever Kashmiris want for betterment of their livelihood, the Centre will help We want development for Jammu and Kashmir . Modi Govt. is committed to overall development of J&K.
