SRINAGAR, May 10(KNB): A delegation of Kashmir Advocate’s Association called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and apprised him about their concerning issues, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
In a statement issued to news agency KNB, During the interaction, the delegation led by Adv Waseem Gul highlighted a host of issues related to the welfare of the lawyer fraternity. The deputation called for an institutionalised social security scheme including life and health insurance for lawyers, besides drawing attention towards constitution of bench of Debt Recovery Tribunal at Srinagar, Shifting of Labour Courts, Sub Registrar Courts & Other tribunals in the premises of District Court Srinagar.
The delegation also stresses upon providing free internet to the advocates in District courts & High Court premises. The group also laid stress upon creation of E-library so that the advocates can be benefitted from it. The Delegation also raised other demands for lawyers’ welfare.
The Lt Governor assured the members of the delegation that all their genuine issues would be taken up for the redressal on merits in a time bound manner.(KNB)
