Indian Army, NGO Establish Modern Library at Machhal Madrassa

 

Macchal 29 April(KNB): Indian Army in collaboration with Suriya and Lit India Project of Humanity Welfare Council established a modern library at Madrassa Islamiya Arabiya Faiz-Ul-Uloom at Maidan Mohalla, Macchal. This initiative aims to modernise the Madrassa and improve the quality of education and exposure to the pupils.

The library setup consisted of text books, notebooks, stationary, dictionaries, white boards, tables, chairs and book racks. These items were presented to the Madrassa by Maj Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, YSM, GOC, Vajr Division in the presence of the Sarpanch, Moulvi and students.

This is just the beginning and in near future there are five more libraries on its way to this remote area of Kupwara district. Such initiatives will go a long way in improving the human development indices and the education standards in this remote border area.(KNB)
