Shopian 07 April(KNB): A group of militants on Thursday managed to escape after a brief encounter with the security forces in Haripora Village Shopian district of South Kashmir.
“There was a brief firefight between militants and security forces at Haripora Village of Shopian. Militants managed to escape taking advantage of Darkness,” reports said.
Earlier, Acting on specific input about the presence of militants in Haripora Imam Sahab area of Shopian district in south Kashmir, security forces launched a cordon and search operation, official said.
He added that cordon layers were tightened after the initial exchange of fire, however, nothing has been found. (KNB)
