Srinagar 17 February (KNB): Scores of burqa-clad women on Thursday take out a peaceful march from Khusipora to Shaltang in Srinagar’s outskirts in solidarity with Muslim female students of Karnataka.

Muslim female students, after not being allowed to enter educational institutions in Karnataka for wearing Hijab, draw outrage from parts of India, including Kashmir where women, donning burqa, days ago took march to support their counterparts in Karnataka.

Continuing to express solidarity with Muslim students of Karanataka, a number of the burqa-clad women took a peaceful march in Srinagar outskirts.

It was further said that after the march was taken, Parimpora police also reached the spot, and the situation was said to be normal throughout the solidarity march by burqa-clad women. (KNB)
