Channel was restored by early morning: Official

Srinagar 15 February (KNB): Youtube Channel of Sansad TV was “compromised by hackers” and its name was changed to “Ethereum” by the attackers, said Sansad TV management on Tuesday.
Sansad TV is an Indian government television channel, broadcasting the programming of the two Houses of Indian Parliament and other public affairs programming.
It was said that the Youtube channel of the Sansad TV was compromised around 1:00 am today by hackers. “The channel name was changed to Ethereum by the attacker. However, Sansad TV’s social media team promptly worked on it and got the Sansad TV channel restored by early morning at around 0345 hours,” said Sansad TV management in a press release.
It further added, “Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in), the nodal agency for responding to cyber security incidents in India, has also reported the above incident and alerted Sansad TV.”
However, later on, Youtube started fixing the security threats permanently and it shall be restored as soon as possible, it added. (KNB)
