Kupwara 12 Jan (KNB): National Youth Day, also popularly known as ‘Yuva Diwas’, was celebrated in Machhal village, to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
In a statement issued to news gathering agency KNB, Youth of Machhal village of age 12 to 18 years participated in cultural and educational activities to promote unity and innovation among them.
The event was conceptualised, organised and executed by Army in four different phases to include, a youth summit, indigenous games awareness, cultural celebrations and interactive session for career opportunities followed by sumptuous lunch.
Total of 54 youth of Machhal bowl took part in the event. They expressed their desire to participate in nation building activities and to make sure the future of the country is bright and prosperous.(KNB)
