Srinagar 19 August (KNB): One Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) has been killed in the ongoing operation in Thanamandi area of Jammu’s Rajouri on Thursday, said a senior Army official.
A senior Army official told the Kashmir News Bureau that one JCO has been killed in the operation in Jammu’s Thanamandi area. The deceased officer had received bullet injuries and later died in the hospital.
Earlier, officials also confirmed that a couple of army personnel got injured while fighting militants in Thanamandi.
It is pertinent to mention that the encounter started in the morning in Jammu’s Thanamandi after a Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the area. (KNB)
