Srinagar 13 August (KNB): India reported 40,126 new novel coronavirus cases and 585 fatalities due the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, active cases constitute 1.20 per cent of total cases; which is the lowest since March 2020 and India’s active caseload currently is at 3,85,227.
The Health Ministry said that highest ever recovery rate has been achieved and the recovery rate currently stands at 97.46 per cent.
There has been 3,13,02,345 total recoveries across the country so far, out of which 42,295 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours, according to MoHFW data.
As per the Health Ministry, weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent and currently stands at 2.13 per cent. Where as the daily positivity rate stands at 2.04 per cent, which stands less than 3 per cent for the last 18 days.
Moreover, the MoHFW informed that the testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and a total of 48.94 crore tests have been conducted in the country so far.
They also said that 52.95 Crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. (KNB)
