Centre Dispatches 50 Vials of Anti-Fungal Drug to J&K Among Total Lot of 19,420

Srinagar 25 May (KNB): Centre government on Tuesday said that a total of 19,420 vials of antifungal drug known as Amphotericin-B were sent to States/UTs and Central Institutions of India yesterday, in which 50 vials are for J&K. 

“Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers D.V Sadananda Gowda announced that the additional 19,420 vials of Amphotericin- B have been allocated to all States/UTs and Central Institutions on 24th May, 2021,” reads an official communique. 

However,  23680 vials of Amphotericin- B were allocated across the country on 21st May which is an addition to the fresh lot of 19,420 vials sent to different States and UTs of the country. 

J&K is one among the total of 5 States and UTs sent 50 vials of Amphotericin-B drug from the central government. 

It is pertinent to mention that the J&K government on Monday declared the Black Fungus as an epidemic under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897. (KNB)
