Anantnag 27 March (KNB): Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler in Sangam Bijbehara who was driving an Alto car and recovered 2.5 kgs charas powder from his possession.
Police said that D.O Sangam during Naka checking stopped an Alto car bearing registration No.JK18A-5981 which was driven by Showkat Ahmad Ganie S/O Ab. Aziz Ganie R/O Sirhama Bijbehara and during checking of the vehicle a polythene bag containing 2.5 kgs of Charas powder like substance was recovered from his possession.
However, in this connection the police said that FIR No. 57/2021 under section 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered and investigation into the matter has been taken up. (KNB)
