Srinagar 16 January (KNB): As per the MET officials, Kashmir valley will likely witness snowfall from 22 to 24 of this month, expecting to be another wet spell after the one on January 3 which extended with more intensity from January 5th’s morning.
According to officials, the wet spell will be observed between 22 and 24 of this month which is likely going to start from the evening of January 22. He further said that the intensity of snowfall is expected to remain moderate.
Pertinent to mention that the weather forecaster had last time slammed the claims of snowfall on 19 January which has now been further bolstered by MET’s prediction of snowfall likely from this month’s 22 and not on the 19th.
Furthermore, the temperature on Friday night was recorded -8.2 degree celsius in Srinagar, which is slightly more intense than the temperature recorded on Thursday night as -7.6 degree celsius.
However, the temperature recorded in Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kokernag, Gulmarg, Anantnag, Bandipora, Leh, Kargil and Drass was -10 degree celsius, -9.4 degree celsius, -8.7 degree celsius, -5.4 degree celsius, -10 degree celsius, -5.3 degree celsius, -12.1 degree celsius, -19 degree celsius and -25.8 degree celsius respectively.
