Srinagar 27 November (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Police has refuted the claims of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti of being put under house detention.
An official said that J&K police Mehbooba Mufti has only been asked not to go to Pulwama for security reasons.
She is not under house arrest. She was requested to postpone her visit to Pulwama purely due to security reasons, police officials stated.
Earlier, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister tweeted, “I’ve been illegally detained yet again. Since two days, J&K admin has refused to allow me to visit @parawahid’s family in Pulwama.”
She added, “BJP Ministers and their puppets are allowed to move around in every corner of Kashmir but security is a problem only in my case.” (KNB)
