DC Bandipora Disburses Rs 1.14 Cr Among Youth Under B2V3 Self-Employment Programme

Bandipora 27 October (KNB):  Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday disbursed an amount of Rs 1.14 Cr as loan to the beneficiaries of various government sponsored schemes under B2V3 Self Employment Programme, Town My Pride.

The Deputy Commissioner handed over cheques worth Rs 1.14 Cr among 19 beneficiaries who were in need of financial assistance for self-employment.

Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and representatives of various banks attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that the government aims to provide handholding to the youth who opt for self employment so that they are able to set up sustainable business and earn livelihood not only for himself/herself but also provide jobs to others.

He urged the youth of the district to avail the benefits of various government-sponsored schemes for establishing various income-generating units to eradicate unemployment menace in the district.

He said that there is a huge potential of establishing various self-employment units under various agriculture and non-agricultural units that can flourish well in the district. He said the government would provide handholding to such youth till their business flourishes.

He further called upon the J&K Bank officials to not only extend financial assistance to these entrepreneurs but also provide handholding to them so that the youth who opt for self-employment can set up sustainable businesses and flourish in their lives. (KNB)
