Youth who picks gun is no more innocent: Bipin Rawat, appeals Kashmiri militants to shun militancy

Srinagar 26 July (KNB): Army chief General Bipin Rawat on Friday asked the Kashmiri youth to shun the path of violence saying this would not let them live lon and think of their parents for better future.

On the sidelines of Kargil War Celebration, Rawat said, “ we are trying to motivate their parents and civil society giving them an opportunity to surrender.”

“No parent of Kashmir want their son to pick up gun and prepare them to be graduates and PhDs in the hope that in their old age they can help them but that is not happening,” he said.

“Rawat said that the army is also reaching out to the people through social media campaigns. “…started super 30 for NEET and other competitive examinations aspirants to engage the local youth,”
