Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNB): On his father’s fifth death anniversary, Ghalib Guru Friday said that he misses his father who was hanged five years ago secretly at Tihar Jail in Delhi. Afzal was secretly hanged and buried in Tihar jail, Delhi on February 9, 2013 for his alleged involvement in Parliament Attack of 2001.
Ghalib wrote on social media platform Facebook: “I still get a lot of hugs, but none of them as warm as yours. I miss you dad.”
Meanwhile, Kashmir witnessed a complete shutdown Friday to commemorate the fifth death anniversary of Muhammad Afzal Guru.
All shops, business establishments remain shut while public transport is off the roads in Srinagar. Complete shutdown was observed in North and South Kashmir.
Authorities had impose strict restrictions in Sopore town to thaw any protests in the town.Scores of people visited the ancestral house of Afzal Guru at Jagir Doabgah and paid condolences to the family today morning. Army put barricades at the entrance of Jagir, Doabgah to stop people from entering the village.
Police had taken additional security measure have been taken across the Valley to avoid any law and order problem.
