Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNB): The only hope for his parents, Danish Mushtaq, 23 year old from Aloosa Bandipora is languishing in jail since past 15 months, even after Public Safety Act (PSA) against him was quashed.
Exposing the rotten nature of the amnesty policy envisaged by PDP, family sources state that police is contemplating to slap Danish with fresh PSA. Danish has several health complications and with a family dependent on him voices are urging to treat his case on humanitarian grounds and set him free soon.
“My son was no doubt a pro-freedom activist but his crime was not any big. The PSA was quashed but still he is not been released, what sort of Justice is this. Danish should be released as at this old age he is our only hope. We demand the state government to act upon its promise of granting Ammnesty to political prisoners. His continuos languishing in jail are giving us great pain, stated her mother Fahmeeda while talking with Kashmir News Bureau.
Human right voices state that youth like Danish Mushtaq and several like him containing to languishing in jail exposes the rotten nature of the so called amnesty policy envisaged by PDP. (KNB)
