Srinagar,Aug 16 (KNB): Six ITBP personnel died after a bus carrying them rolled down the road at Frislan area of Pahalgam’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, police said.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that a bus carrying 39 ITBP troopers met with an accident near chandanwari area of pahalgam, resulting in death of 6 ITBP personnel and leaving several injured
He added,that the bus fell into a river while it was on the way to Anantnag.
Meanwhile Kashmir zone police tweeted that the injured have been airlifted to srinagar’s army hospital for modern treatment.
Meanwhile police and other district administration officials are on the spot, doing their job of rescue operation.
DC Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla said that all medical agencies are put on high alert for their medication and 19 ambulances are deployed for the operation.
He also added that Locals,SDM,Police and other authorities are on the spot and a massive operation in this mishap is underway
