‘2 Chinese pistols, 3 pistol magazines, 15 rounds of ammunition, 2 grenades recovered’

Srinagar 29 January (KNB): Security forces arrested three LeT(TRF) militant associates during naka checking in Shuhama area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district along with arms and ammunition, said police spokesperson on Saturday.
The official said that Ganderbal police along with the teams of 24 RR and 115 Bn. CRPF arrested three militant associates during Naka checking in Shuhama area and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
It was further said that the three militant associates were identified as Faisal Manzoor, a resident of Braripora Shopian; Azhar Yaqoob, a resident of Zaipora Shopain and Nasir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Begam Kulgam .
During the naka search, the three arrested associates were found in possession of “two Chinese pistols, 3 pistol magazines ,15 rounds of ammunition, two hand grenades and three mobile phones.”
As per the official, the trio revealed their affiliation with proscribed outfit LeT/TRF and have indulged in various militancy related activities in the district.
In this regard a case FIR no 07/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was taken up. The official said that more arrests and recoveries are expected in the case. (KNB)
