2nd Edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival from April 26

In a great news for art, film and culture lovers of Kashmir the second edition of Wular Lake International Short Film Festival begins at Baramulla from April 26 to April 28.

Pertinently, 600 Submissions have been received from 57 countries from around the globe.

It is worth mentioning that finally 60 shortfilms & documentaries were selected for final screening and a different section for Local [Kashmiri] Films.

Importantly, Main genres entertained during the selection process are films related to Women empowerment, Children Films, Social issues, Human rights, Mankind & Nature. Apart from films, a Photography & Screenplay section as well has been included.

The festival will be held for 3 consecutive [26th, 27th & 28th] days in the month of April, 2018 at Auditorium of Government Degree College Baramulla.

A workshop on Film-making & writing will be organized on the last day of festival. The workshop will be open for all Students, Film buffs & cinema lovers.

The Jury Panel of WLISFF are Professionals from passed out from FTII [Film & Television Institute of India].International Film professional Members are also in Jury Panel

Organizers will be accompanied by various media professionals & artists during the screenings. Those who have also invited Mr. Mushtaq Kak [Renowned theater artist & director], Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor [chairperson for State Commission of Women], Mr. Mushtaq Ali Khan [Director KWFF & Actor’s creative theater], Mr Nasir Ahmad Naqash [D.C Baramulla], Mr Imtiyaz Hussein [S.S.P Baramulla] besidesalso have Media professionals & International delegates & Filmmakers as well who will share their experiences to the audience and other guests.
