Srinagar 31 December (KNB): India has reported 16,764 new cases of Covid19, with 220 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,66,363 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 7,585 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 91,361, which constitutes 0.26 percent of the total cases,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 1.10 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 87 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.76 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 46 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 144.54 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 67.78 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 1270 omicron cases with 374 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 450 and 320 in Delhi. (KNB)
