Srinagar 20 Jan(KNB): In a remarkable achievement, 11-year-old Erin Mir from Jammu and Kashmir has become the first player from the union territory to break into the top 10 of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Girls Under 12 rankings. Currently ranked 7th in the country, Erin has also secured the top spot in Jammu and Kashmir.
Erin’s impressive journey began on September 12, 2022, when she started competing in the AITA Girls Under 12 category with an initial rank of 467. Her dedication and hard work have paid off, as she has rapidly climbed the rankings to achieve this milestone.
The young tennis player has also made a significant impact in the Girls Under 14 category, where she is currently ranked 52nd in the country and holds the top spot in Jammu and Kashmir. Erin first broke into the top 100 of the Girls Under 14 rankings on December 23, 2024.
