4 Years On, Govt failed to complete Bridge in Pulwama Village

Srinagar, April 16 (KNB): Residents of the Hari-parigam ,Kia-chackoot ,Ahangar Mohalla , Ganai Mohalla expressed the resentment against the rural development department for the inordinate delay in completion of the construction of the bridge at Hari village on Kiachackoot –Hariparigam road in Tral area of the Pulwama district.

People alleged that the construction work was started back in 2015 but the bridge is yet to be completed resulting in the suffering of the people.

Talking to Kashmir News Bureau Mashooq Ahmad Dar said the bridge is about 8 feet above the road level and needs to be filled to make it motor able but unfortunately the work has been stopped due to unknown reasons and has plunged the area into despair.

“He further said that almost 90% of work has been completed but work is delayed on one and another context”

“The is the only connectivity to the main institutions like hospital , higher secondary school and a famous shrine in locality and in the absence of the bridge the people has to make the use of alternative paths and lamented the administration for absence of the bridge in the area” Ali Mohd an elderly local said

 

When Kashmir News Bureau contacted the Block Development Officer (BDO) Tral , Division Suhail Ahmad Lone he said “the work was stopped due to the lack of the funds and assured that filling work will be started soon and bridge will be made motorable up to ending may(KNB).
