Children of destiny

Opinion

March, 23: While being in Hyderabad I met a group of students from my motherland Kashmir. I was extremely happy to see these students from far north persuing their studies in deep south. I could not resist myself from paying a visit to Mulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) were most of them are studying. During the interaction I came to know that most of these scholars and students were persuing their education under scholarship schemes. I found all if them very brilliant and focused to their studies. I was pleasantly surprised that these students had so much of talent and will to excel. It is worth to mention here that most of them are from humble families who in order to meet their expenses do not shy away from doing odd jobs during free time. Being highly impressed by the academic credentials of these enthusiastic students it gives me immense pleasure to write about few of them
Mudasir Ahmad Guri from Telangam Pulwama has earned a gold medal from Bundhalkhund University Jhansi in the year 2010. He is currently pursuing Ph D in feminism from MANUU under U G C scholarship A topper in course work .He has published 5 research papers in reputed journals .In addition he has also about 20 research articles published in different news papers . I have personally been greatly impressed by his down to earth nature. Once he is at home he proudly helps his father to sell cottage cheese and takes pride in helping his parents in their daily chores and everything that brings joy to them. By the grace of Allah he will be the first Ph.D. from his village Telangam.

Interestingly he is the only person in his family who has perused higher education and who soon will be called a doctor Insha’Allah.
Waseem Nabi from Saripora Rafiabad ,a far-flung area of district Baramullah , has all his education up to graduation from government schools. Because of his sheer hard work he got admission in English literature in Central University Hyderabad. The quest for seeking knowledge never ended in him and after one year of serious preparations Sajad got enrolled for Ph . D in MANUU. This was a dream come true for Sajad who is regarding this an opportunity to help his family and friends.
Mudasir Ahmad Mir from Dangerpora Arihal Pulwama is doing M Sc in mathematics from MANUU. A brilliant hardworking boy for whom I am sure that one day he will also be awarded a doctorate in his Subject Insha’Allah.
